Momo Bertrand

Momo Bertrand has extensive working experience in the United States, Europe, and Africa.

He currently serves as a Young Professional (YP) at the World Bank.

Between 2020 and 2022, Momo worked at the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO), a United Nations agency based in Turin, Italy.

Before joining the UN, Momo co-founded One Digital World, a California-based education nonprofit focused on providing digital skills to women and asylum seekers. He has also worked as marketing director at a communication agency based in Douala, Cameroon. His work has been featured on BBC, The Times of San Diego, Africa.com, la Repubblica, CRTV, Canal 2, and KTV California. 

Momo holds an MA in Social Innovation from the University of San Diego (USD). While at USD, he won the annual essay writing contest, delivered a graduation speech, and was featured on the cover of the university magazine. He also attended the Catholic University Institute of Buea in Cameroon (CUIB), where he was student president and valedictorian. Momo holds an MBA from Quantic. 

He is the author of several publications and articles, including a peer-reviewed paper on inclusion in education. He is a passionate and engaging trainer who has spoken at over 100 events, workshops, and seminars around the globe. 

In 2018, Momo received the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Spirit Award as the top leader from a cohort of 100+ youth from West and Central Africa. He is a fellow of the Hansen program, USA.

Momo was born in Cameroon and currently lives in Italy.
